TRADITIONAL MEDIA STILL UNRIVALED
Belgrade, March 28, 2012 (Blic) - Traditional media such as press, television and radio are still unmatched in effective communication with the public in relation to internet social networks such as Facebook or Twitter, these are the findings of the research conducted in 12 countries by the leading PR agency in the world "Ketchum".
These results only show that, despite the incredible expansion of social networks in the last few years, people still react the best to the traditional means of communication, perceiving them as the most natural and available.
"The fact that even 84 respondents have rated the communication as one of the most important factors when leadership, either in politics or in business, is concerned, is encouraging", said Ljiljana Boljanovic, director of the "Ketchum" Agency in Serbia "Pleon Olaf&McAteer".
For 50 percent of respondents, face-to-face contact is the most reliable way of communication and it makes the leaders the most persuasive, TV speeches for 43 percent, radio for 41 and print for 38 percent of respondents. Appearance of leaders on blogs was rated as trustworthy by 20 percent of respondents, on Facebook by 16 percent, in ads by 13 percent, while on Twitter by only 8 percent of respondents.
