Vucic: We will not bargain with Miskovic
Belgrade, November 13, 2012 (Tanjug) - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic stated on Tuesday that he did not interpret the withdrawal of businessman Miroslav Miskovic from the Belgrade-based daily Press as a peace deal because neither Miskovic nor anyone else can make such bargains.
There is no room for bargains in government bodies, Vucic said commenting on the allegations in certain media that Miskovic's withdrawal from Press constitutes a peace deal for the deputy prime minister.
According to Vucic, it turned out that everything he spoke about regarding the ownership in the Serbian press is true and that it is good that the case has started to unwind.
It is important to respect transparent ownership and to make it clear who owns what in Serbia, he said and added that all he has to say as regards Miskovic is that Serbia is no market place where anyone may make offers to others or make bargains.
According to him, it is now clear to many why certain reports appeared in the press, who the commissioners of such texts were and what some of them wanted to achieve.
He reiterated that he never talked with Miskovic and pointed out that he has no plans to do so either.
