AMNESTY CONDEMNED ATTACKS ON NDNV
New York, February 25, 2013 (NDNV) - Amnesty International have condemned the attacks of certain media and right-wing organizations on the Independent Journalists' Association of Vojvodina (NDNV), calling them discriminatory, spreading the hate speech and provoking violence in some cases.
"The constant verbal attacks against NDNV President Dinko Gruhonjic and other members of the association are a form of discrimination, hate speech and in some cases incitement to violence. The primary motive for the attacks is their ethnic background and/or nationality, as they are called "anti-Serbs"", says in the press release published on Amnesty International website (http://www.amnesty.org/).
This organization for protection of human rights has reminded Serbian authorities of their international obligations to protect both the right to freedom of expression and right to life.
