DNEVNIK TO APPEAL VERDICT
Novi Sad, March 16, 2013 (Vecernje novosti - Vojvodina) - The Commercial Court in Novi Sad has again ruled that the publishing rights and the right to use logotype of the daily "Dnevnik" be given to "Dnevnik Holding" instead of the "Dnevnik Vojvodina Press" (DVP), it was confirmed yesterday to daily Vecernje novosti by Tatjana Brdar, Director General of the "Dnevnik Holding".
DVP was founded because ten years ago, the German VAC had bought 55 percent of shares of the only daily in Serbian language in Vojvodina. The remaining 45 percent of shares belong to "Dnevnik Holding". In the meantime, VAC has sold its shares to "Balkan Media", which is today, at least according to the website of the Business Registers Agency, the majority owner.
"The complaint was filed back in 2010. The Commercial Court had once ruled in our favor, but the Court of Appeals followed the appeal of the DVP and put the case back to reviewing."
