Police find saboteurs, says Studio B

BELGRADE, June 8, 2004 – Belgrade police have found the people responsible for recent sabotage of Belgrade city television, Studio B, the station reported on Monday. Studio B did not disclose details, but reported that the entire case had been put into the hands of the prosecutor. The company expects an investigation to reveal who is behind what it describes as a shameful act and on whose orders it was carried out. “We also expect that the ministry will clear up this first case of sabotage and actual threats,” said Studio B in a statement. Studio B’s board announced last week that, on June 2, immediately before the beginning of its 7.00 p.m. news program, a serious act of sabotage was carried out on new technical equipment.
