FEDERAL MEDIA TO BE PRIVATISED

BELGRADE, December 29, 2004 - A privatisation process is to be launched in the near future for media operated by the state of Serbia-Montenegro, Serbian Culture Minister Dragan Kojadinovic said today. "The sale is not expected to be a simple process but must be undertaken because the ground has been prepared by a recent agreement which the federal state has forwarded to the member republics," said Kojadinovic. The federal government at present operates Tanjug news agency, Radio Serbia-Montenegro, TV Jugoslavija, daily Borba, Jugoslovenski Pregled and Filmske Novosti.
