AGREEMENT ON MEDIA PRIVATISATION

BELGRADE, January 1, 2005 – Proprietary transformation of the state-owned media will be conducted under the Privatization Act of Serbia. The agreement on privatization process of the state-owned media was signed on Tuesday by the Serbian Minister of culture Dragan Kojadinovic, while Montenegrin minister Vesna Kilibarda is expected to sign the agreement later. The Agreement was signed at the proposal of Serbia-Montenegro Council of Ministers and with the consent of governments of both State Union member states, Federal president Svetozar Marovic and Council of Ministers’ Information Directorate head Slobodan Orlic. The media will be available for privatization under the Privatization Act of Serbia according to territorial principle.
