B92 BRIEFLY OFF AIR

BELGRADE, February 4, 2005 – Program of TV B92 was briefly off the air on Friday early afternoon. The interruption of the broadcast in some parts of the region was due to technical reasons. The reason for program interruption was the electricity blackout in Belgrade Dom Omladine, where the central emitter of TV B92 is located. The power cut-off only caused further malfunction of the emitter, thus triggering more problems for the program broadcasting through cable distributors. The interruption occurred during the broadcast of the B92’s program Insider, and the second part of the interview with Vladimir “Beba” Popovic. The station then received numerous complaints from the viewers, and the signal was repaired shortly after 1 pm.
