SELFPROTECTION OF LOCAL MEDIA

KRAGUJEVAC, February 18, 2005 – Increased number of court cases against local media was noted in Kragujevac, Local Press announced. The Local Press association has issued the statement indicating that 55 court cases are currently led against 26 of their members, which are mainly prosecuted for the libel or defamation. Association’s Secretary General Snezana Milosevic sees many of the cases against local media as the “serious problem” for their future work and subsistence.
