NINO BRAJOVIC REMAINS UNS PRESIDENT

BRZECE, March 28, 2005 – New members of the management, Court of Honor and Supervisory Council were elected yesterday at the Assembly of the Association of Serbian Journalists (UNS). Nino Brajovic, active president of the Association, has been entrusted with a new presidential mandate. The Assembly has adopted the convention envisaging “the enactment of unique Code of Ethics for Serbian journalists and establishment of the Media Council as an institution which would mind moral principles of the public word, protection and improvement of journalism standards and control of unprofessional journalism”. In honor of the Serbian Journalists’ Day, March 27, UNS has awarded the magazine “American Srbobran”, published in Pittsburg since 1906, with the special charter for 2005. President of UNS has proposed the foundation of the Association of Kosovo and Metonija Journalists for better protection of professional and social rights of journalists in Kosmet.
